Lose weight with Muay Thai

Muay Thai is the national sport of Thailand and there is no better physical activity to lose weight than this. Lose weight while learning something new directly from the best experts on the subject! Combinations of kicks, fists, knees and elbows are the best way to combat stress and increase self-confidence.

 

Here, at Kombat Group, we follow a different approach from traditional gyms.


Our main goal has always been to develop the perfect combination of aerobic weight loss exercises. But without missing out on that bit of adrenaline that comes from watching professional boxers during training. For this reason, all the guests train together in the same structure and in the same time slot. Our competitive athletes train for the purpose of fighting and will follow a special program. While you will have a personalized program to help you achieve your goals: to lose weight and to get fit and healthy.

 

Your training sessions will be divided mainly into three phases. The first consists of a functional warm-up: specific movements and shadow boxing, to prepare the whole body for the actual training.
During the shadow boxing session, you will replicate without impact all the Muay Thai shots: punches, elbows, knees and kicks. All under the careful supervision of our Arjan (grandmaster).
 

During the second phase, you will follow a specific bag training to lose weight. You will practice following the rhythm of the rounds: 3 minutes of work, 1 minute of pause. This is how Muay Thai has become one of the best aerobic weight-loss exercises.
 

Furthermore, Muay Thai is called the art of eight limbs. During training, you will use all the parts of the body to perform various combinations of strokes. With fists and elbows, you will develop mainly the muscles of the arms, chest and back. With knees and kicks, you will work on thighs, calves and buttocks. All these movements are performed in torsion, an extremely beneficial movement to strengthen the abdominal wall and back muscles. And streamline the waistline!

 

Your personalized training program does not include jump rope or jumping on the tire. And it doesn’t even include sparring or full contact sessions. But vigorous cardiovascular workouts that aim to improve endurance, flexibility and strength.


The risk of accidents is reduced to zero! Our coaches are experts at making you work hard and get the best out of your possibilities. And after just a few days, you will feel like another person!


In the third and final stage of training, you will work with your Kru (Coach) in three or more individual rounds at the pads. This is the time when you will burn more calories! It will be your Kru that will inspire you to give your best.


Immediately afterwards, the teaching of basic combat techniques will begin. You will work in tandem with another participant of the program and together you will repeat the different techniques that will be explained in detail by the Kru.


The training session always ends with abs and stretching, which are essential for the general development of the muscles.

 

Needless to reiterate how the martial arts for weight loss are beneficial. And Muay Thai can certainly be considered one of the best. It has not only a slimming and toning effect. By practising Muay Thai you fight stress, gain greater confidence and increase your self-esteem.

We have developed a special Boxing course to help you lose weight safely. And losing weight with Boxing will get you results that are nothing short of amazing!

 

Boxing respects all the typical characteristics of anaerobic training, favouring muscle strengthening and stimulating the cardiovascular system.


Furthermore, it is high-intensity training, but it includes adequate rest periods so as to avoid injury altogether and allow the muscles to recover.


Another great feature: it is a workout that involves the whole body while paying particular attention to the abdominal area.

 

You start by learning the basic techniques of boxing, improving your cardiac strength and muscle power. All according to interval training: 3 minutes of work followed by a 1-minute break. Needless to say, how beneficial a workout of this type is to get rid of excess kilos!


We have evolved our course to the point of making it as effective as possible. Warm up, shadow boxing, bag work, working on the mitts with your coach and small partner play sessions will make every minute spent in the gym fun and interesting!

 

With years of experience behind us in the Weight Loss industry, we have come to create specific training sessions for those who want to shed pounds. For example, you won’t participate in the most advanced sparring sessions, but you can enjoy the show from the ringside and learn something from our champions!

What is Functional Training?

When we talk about functional training, we refer to a workout designed specifically to reproduce the usual movements of the human body. Pushing, pulling, twisting and bending exercises will be an essential part of every training circuit.

 

This way, you will involve all the joints of your body in your work out. And the more joints are involved, the more muscle groups get to work and the more calories your body can burn.

 

Furthermore, following the concepts of functional training improves endurance, flexibility, balance and even your posture. Additionally, this type of movement stimulates the deep musculature, which is what creates joint stabilization. All this drastically prevents the risk of injuries.

 

The functional training lessons are carried out with an interval system. Exercises that use both body weight and some small tools like dumbbells, kettlebells, medicine balls, TRX, etc. will be included. Instructors will evaluate the right combination of working time and recovery time to create a perfect fat-burning workout!

 

In addition, our personal trainers will pay particular attention to the fact that you are performing the technique correctly. 5 days a week you will follow different and exciting lessons, which will stimulate you to give your best.

 

Functional training is our best ally when we want to lose body fat. And given the specific characteristics of the workouts, you will not only lose weight but will tone your muscles and become stronger.

Standard rooms overlook the garden and gym. They have a/c, a private bathroom, a safe and a balcony with a table and chairs. The most spacious Deluxe rooms are facing the pool and have a private bathroom, a/c, a safe, mini-fridge, kettle with tea/coffee and TV with DVD player, as well as a balcony with table and chairs.

  • All standard rooms have a single bed, a wardrobe with safe, an en-suite bathroom, air conditioning and WIFI. A hairdryer can be provided upon request. All rooms have a patio with a table and chairs overlooking a beautiful tropical garden where you can spend pleasant evenings in the company of other camp guests. Housekeeping service twice a week included.

  • All deluxe rooms are equipped with a/c, wardrobe with safe, mini fridge, kettle with tea and coffee, 2 small bottles of water per day, TV and DVD-player, toiletries (shampoo, soap and conditioner), hair dryer and WIFI. They include an en-suite bathroom and daily housekeeping. All rooms overlook the pool and have a patio with a table and chairs to relax during leisure time.
